Serial to 4G LTE Converter MC331 เป็นอุปกรณ์ที่ช่วยให้เครื่องมือที่มีพอร์ต RS232 หรือ RS485/RS422 สามารถส่งข้อมูลผ่านทางเครือค่ายโทรศัพท์ 4G (LTE) โดยยังคงสามารถใช้งานร่วมกับโปรแกรมของเดิมได้ ทำให้การใช้งานของอุปกรณ์สามารถเชื่อมต่อได้โดยไม่มีข้อจำกัดทาง Serial Port อีกต่อไป
โหมดการใช้งานของ MC331 คือ Virtual COM Mode เมื่อต้องการใช้โปรแกรมบนเครื่องคอมพิวเตอร์เพื่อติดต่อผ่าน MC331 โดยใช้ 4G สามารถจำลอง COM Port ขึ้นมาแทน ทำให้ไม่ต้องใช้อุปกรณ์ที่เกี่ยวข้องกับ COM Port ทางฝั่งของเครื่องคอมพิวเตอร์เลย
