Data Logger ML21 เป็นอุปกรณ์ทำหน้าที่บันทึกข้อมูลขนาดเล็ก โดยสามารถรับสัญญาณมาตรฐานทั้งชนิด Standard Current (0-20 mA, 4-20 mA) และ Standard Voltage (0-5 V, 1-5 V, 0-10 V, 2-10 V) โดยข้อมูลนี้จะถูกบันทึกอย่างต่อเนื่องไว้ในหน่วยความจำภายในเครื่อง ซึ่งจะมีค่าวันและเวลาที่บันทึกไว้กำกับลงไปด้วย
การอ่านข้อมูลที่บันทึกอยู่ใน ML21 ทำได้โดยใช้เครื่องคอมพิวเตอร์เชื่อมต่อกับ ML21 ผ่านทาง RS-232 Port หรือ ผ่านทาง Modem โดยมีโปรแกรมช่วยในการอ่านข้อมูลลงคอมพิวเตอร์ ข้อมูลที่ได้จะนำมาแสดงผลบนเครื่องคอมพิวเตอร์ ในแบบตัวเลขหรือนำมาแสดงในรูปแบบกราฟได้ ข้อมูลนี้สามารถนำไปใช้ในโปรแกรมบน Windows อื่นๆ เช่น MS Excel, MS Word ซึ่งช่วยให้สะดวกในการนำข้อมูลไปทำการคำนวณเพิ่มเติมหรือจัดทำรายงานได้อีกด้วย
